Library offers a vast range of services as follows:

REFERENCE:

The library maintains a separate reference collection consisting of encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks, data sheets, CD-ROMs, floppies, audio Cassettes etc. It is open to all and it will be landed on the request of the readers for the shorter period.

XEROX SERVICES:

Our library has Xerox facility for its users at very concessional rate. The charges for xerox is Rs. 0.60 (A4).

READING ROOM BOOKS:

Text books recommended by the faculty for different courses are kept in the reference section. These books can be used in the library reading room only and thease books issued for a night, half hour before closing of the library on all days.

OVERNIGHT ISSUE:

Our library provides overnight issue of text books for its users. Only one book can be issued to a student for overnight use to be returned the next day by 9.30 a.m.

PAPER CLIPPING SERVICES:

We provide paper clippings from the daily news papers to all the HOD`s related to their subject area of interest. We also display news related to the students on the notice board.

BOOK BANK SERVICE IN A NUT-SHELL :The book bank service provides 3 to 4 books to the students, which they can avail through out the semester. The students are subject to return those books at the end of a semester .Under this service the students are required to pay the 20% of the actual price of the books. There are limited no of books, hence first cum first service policy will be implemented.

BOOK PACKAGE SYSTEM:

IT IS A DEVICE TO FACILITATE THE STUDENTS IN OUR CAMPUS.

THE BOOK PACKAGE IN A NUTSHELL : First year students can avail the book package (10 old / new books) in 25% to 30% discount from library by paying Rs. 2500/- (Approximately) at the time of reporting at orientation and it will be returned to library in their 2nd year with 50% discount of the actual price. Exchange value will be returned in the shape of new book. Cash will not be returned. In this way the students will avail the package system up to final year. If they want to keep any book with them forever, they can. No more charges will be imposed.

For example: If the price of a book is Rs. 100/, then a student will pay Rs. 75 only and in 2 nd year, when he will returned to library , the amount will be credited Rs. 50/- and it can be availed in term books

OBJECTIVE OF THE BOOK PACKAGE SYSTEM: We encourage our students to purchase their own textbooks. They should not depend on the textbooks placed in library. Library books are mainly used for reference purpose. Book Package facility may be utilized for the said purpose with minimum 20% to 35% discount.

Rs.3000/-, A WELL TARGETED AMOUNT FOR BOOK PACKAGE : We have made Rs. 2500/- as standard because We are trying to make books from various publications according to the syllabus available for all our students. So the total amount may increase / decrease. If the amount increases from Rs. 2500/ then it will be collected from students later (Notice will be given) and it will be hardly Rupees 3-4 hundred only. If the package amount is decrease from the amount then it will be automatically adjusted with their next year package.

The scheme sustains till the completion of the final semester.

A monthly list of recent addition of text books, reference books, journals & magazines is displayed on the notice board for information of all.
