The department of Electronics& Communication was established in the year 1999 and has an annual intake of 60 students. The department is equipped with the latest instruments and trainer kits. The institute has custom designed the instruments and equipments to facilitate easier understanding among the students. The various labs in the department are, Advanced Communication Lab, Microwave & Optical Communication Lab, Analog Communication Lab, Digital Communication Lab, Microprocessor & Interfacing Lab, Digital Electronics Lab, Linear Integrated & Circuits Lab, Electronics Computer Aided Design Lab, Analog Electronic Circuits Lab and Electronic Device & Circuits Lab. The strong physical infrastructure is well utilised by the students under the guidance of experienced faculty.
